Henry F. Wireman (1877-1931), an American artist known for his illustrations and magazine cover art, remains somewhat enigmatic. While his contributions to popular magazines are notable, little else is known about his life. Interestingly, more information is available about his wife, Katharine Richardson Wireman, an artist and one of Howard Pyle's students at the Drexel Institute of Art, Science, and Industry. Eugenie M. Wireman, Henry's sister and an artist herself, played a pivotal role as a matchmaker in this artistic circle!
