Description

INSIDE GREETING: How much sooner one tires of anything than a book.

Who else can relate to getting distracted by books while cleaning the house and stopping to read? Miriam Story Hurford created this universal scene for the cover of Woman's World's March 1928 edition, and we've adapted it into a popular Books & Readers card! See this image on a greeting card with a blank interior!

Miriam Story Hurford (1894-1988) was an American illustrator whose works were primarily published from the 1930s to the 1960s. Her portfolio includes illustrations for the Dick and Jane series, as well as magazine covers, with many for the popular Woman's World magazine. She was exceptionally skilled in depicting mothers and their children. Although we know little about her life, we are grateful to have her art!

This product was custom designed and created at our location in Seattle.
