INSIDE GREETING: Isn't Friendship Grand!

Warm and inviting, this charming dinner scene is extracted from the pages of Old Man Rabbit's Dinner Party (1949) by Carolyn Sherwin Bailey. Within this endearing tale, the eponymous rabbit's generous act brings warmth and joy to friends who were once cold and hungry. See this image as an art print!

Information about the illustrator of this book, credited simply as "Robinson," reveals him to be the German-born artist Werner Kruse (1910-1994), who adopted his pen name from Daniel Defoe's renowned character, Robinson Crusoe. Kruse is celebrated for his unique "X-ray style" books, particularly those showcasing major cities. In these works, he provided intricate, detailed illustrations that depicted both the exteriors and interiors of buildings within the cities, offering a fascinating and comprehensive view of urban life.
