The enchanting 1898 lithograph was initially intended as the calendar for the Champenois company. However, its instant allure propelled its publication as a decorative panel titled Rêverie (Daydream) by the esteemed magazine La Plume. Alphonse Mucha's artistic vision unveils a young woman in a beautifully embroidered Slavic dress, leafing through the pages of a decorative design book. The focal point is the elaborate disk behind her, adorned with a delicate tapestry of intricately intertwined flowers and stems reminiscent of a lace-like pattern. See this image as an art print!
