Butterflies symbolize hope and renewal and remind us of the beauty that emerges from a drab cocoon into new life. This Art Deco image was published in the 1920s by the P.F. Volland Company, a Chicago-based publisher of poetry books, greeting cards, sheet music, children's books, calendars, cookbooks, and games.
