BLANK INSIDE
Launched in 1889 by Léon Deschamps, La Plume was a French literary and artistic review showcasing the avant-garde movement through poems, stories, reviews, and, of course, illustrations! The magazine's headquarters in rue Bonaparte became a hub for creativity, hosting the renowned Salon des Cent exhibitions. In a remarkable tribute to Alphonse Mucha's talent, six special editions were exclusively dedicated to his work. See this image as an art print!
Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was a visionary artist whose creativity helped define the Art Nouveau movement! Born 1860 in Moravia, now the Czech Republic, he rose from humble beginnings to become an internationally celebrated master. Known for his distinctive style—featuring intricate patterns, flowing lines, and ethereal female figures—Mucha’s work profoundly influenced the visual aesthetics of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, he remains one of history's most beloved and iconic artists!
