Some years ago we found at an antique show a hardbound book entitled The Louisiana Purchase. We discovered, however, that someone, obviously not caring much about the Louisiana Purchase, used the book as a scrapbook to collect pages from late 19th century flower catalogs. These are beautifully printed by chromolithography, which results in brilliant color and a characteristic texture.
