Description

This adoring bunny couple is smitten with each other! Nestled together in a crescent moon reminiscent of a paper moon scene, which was popular during the creation of this image by Grace Drayton, they are serenaded by a cupid bunny. It's a heartwarming scene that deviates from the usual Easter imagery.

Grace Drayton (1877-1936) was an American illustrator and comics artist, best known for creating the iconic Campbell's Soup Kids and the Dolly Dingle paper dolls. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she began her career as an illustrator for various publications, including children's books and magazines. Drayton gained widespread recognition for her charming and whimsical illustrations, which often depicted children and animals in playful scenes. Her distinctive artistic style, characterized by round faces and expressive features, became instantly recognizable and beloved by audiences of all ages. She is credited by some as being the first successful American woman cartoonist!
