Though he was of British descent, Williams spent the majority of his life in the United States. He's renowned for his collaborations with Margaret Wise Brown on several Little Golden Book, featuring sweet baby animals and humans, which further enriched his contribution to the world of children's literature. His precise and whimsical illustrations for classic children's books, such as Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little by E.B. White, cemented his iconic status.
