This sweet couple flies away to wedded bliss in a chariot led by winged horses! This unsigned illustration has a fantastic origin: between 1935 and 1978, one could choose it to adorn a telegram sent through the British Post Office. Seasonal and occasion-based designs like this were offered to make a telegram more special, turning something like a wedding announcement into something one might hang on a wall! It's beautiful, and we're glad we can help the image live on.
