This russet-haired fairy embodies the essence of autumn. Her curly copper hair, adorned with bunches of grapes, frames a beautiful face. Draped in fallen leaves in rich, earthy tones that perfectly complement her delicate pastel wings, this fairy is the picture of seasonal bounty. Gentle winds swirl the leaves around her, giving this image a sense of movement and vibrant energy.

Marion T. "Penny" Ross (1881-1937) was an American cartoonist and children's book illustrator best known for his popular Sunday comic “Mamma's Angel Child” in the Chicago Tribune. He illustrated numerous children's books, including Elizabeth Gordon's nature-themed series Flower Children and Bird Children. Ross worked for the Chicago Tribune, collaborated with early Disney animators, and later became a set designer at RKO Pictures in Southern California.
